Form and Freedom: Move it Your Way


The focus of tonight’s class is the exploration of Form and Freedom.

Form is provided by the steps, stances and the short sequences called katas (songs) in the routine. Freedom is the invitation for your unique spirit to inform and stimulate each step and stance you take. In Nia, spirit is defined as your unique self.

I will provide a structure (an option) and you bring your unique spirit to the dance. Class at 5:30pm at Open Flight Studio in the University District.
