Birth, Yes to Nia on Easter, Nia-Yoga and the 52 Moves Playshop!

The month of April kicks off with a new dynamic and groovy routine titled "Birth." Mollia and I are tag team introducing this routine this Friday evening at the Mt Baker Community Clubhouse in the Mt Baker neighborhood in Seattle. If you've never danced at the clubhouse, you must join us! The space is truly heavenly and dancing with Mollia is as sweet as it gets. I am so thrilled to have this opportunity to co-teach with her.

In case you were wondering, I AM teaching on Easter Sunday April 8! Join me at Delilah's Belly Dance Studio at my regular time - 10:30am - 11:30am.

Then next week, Liziah Woodruff and I are bringing our 75-minute Nia-Yoga class to second Friday evening! Join us with your bare feet, yoga mat (although we'll have a couple of extras) and a bottle of water! This class is a wonderful way to unwind, release stress and find inner stillness.

Finally, join Jill Pagano and I on Sunday, April 15th at 2:30pm as we introduce the Nia 52 Moves via a routine. Bring your Nia practice to a new level of mastery!

All details for the above are provided below:

I feel very lucky to be a guest teacher at Mollia Jensen’s next "T.G.I.N!" (Thank God it's Nia) class on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 7pm at the Mt. Baker Community Clubhouse. Mollia and I are teaming up to co-teach one the newest Nia routines, "Birth." The focus of Birth is the Three Planes of Movement (high, middle and low) with an emphasis on using the hands. The intent is to help you create a connection between your upper and lower body while achieving your desired level of conditioning. Birth features choreography that supports both rhythmic isolation and systemic integration of the base, core and upper extremities. Learn to sense and cultivate flexibility, agility, mobility, strength and stability as you move to great rhythms, practice sounding, and blend form and freedom. Listen to the music of Birth. What better way to spend your Friday evening?!
